Join America’s first, foremost, and finest and take your career to new heights.Role Purpose StatementThe Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and sanitation programs within a fast-paced airline catering operation. This role partners closely with Production, Warehouse, Transportation, and Operations teams to ensure all products meet company standards, customer requirements, and applicable food safety regulations. The coordinator plays a key role in monitoring food safety and quality systems, conducting facility inspections, verifying sanitation effectiveness, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This position helps ensure audit readiness while promoting a strong culture of food safety and quality throughout the facility. Location: Near Orlando International Airport (On-Site) Main AccountabilitiesMaintain and initiate all recordkeeping and key performance indicators pertinent to the Quality Department and GQS to include, but not limited to Food Safety, Sanitation, Regulatory Agencies (County Health, State Health Dept. and FDA), internal customers (LHI) and airline customersDaily monitor of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for complianceVerify of coolers and freezer room temperature for compliancePerform environmental swabs and microbiological sampling, submittal to local laboratory for analysisObtain Chef Table samples to verify compliance to specificationAssist the Quality Manager in specific training and daily initiatives addressing quality, food safety, and sanitation issues to drive process improvementsConduct work station inspections to verify compliance (gold standard verification, specs, sanitizer, food temperatures, HACCP documentation, phf set-up)Conduct portion control weight compliance to specificationsConduct inspection checks (dispatch, galley, non-bonded, bonded, equipment)Verify Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) logs and other documents are accurately completed on a daily basisCreate charts, trending reports, training materials and visualsMaintain, monitor standards and train employees in compliance to the Regulated Garbage Standards to meet USDA requirementsSupports the Jump-off (commissary) locations with oversightTrain hourly employees as neededPerform other tasks as requested Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentBi-lingual in English and SpanishProficient in using computer and basic software such as Microsoft, create and maintain trending charts, SOP’s, use of calculator, weight scales, and thermometers, metal detector, ATP testing equipment, mechanical food portioning and processing equipment.Previous food industry and quality assurance experience a plusAbility to work in cold environment (<40*F)Ability to work with minimum to no supervision, act in liaison of the Supervisor, self-starter, and problem solver.Ability to lift/push a minimum of 25 lbs.Strong mathematical, analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to work in fast paced environment with large groupsMust be flexible to work weekends/holidays
