Responsibilities
- Apply Servant Leadership principles to build trust and open communication as you manage the IPS quality systems (CIPS).
- Manage quality activities to ensure that all manufacturing, repairs, services, supplied material, and contract work meet customer requirements and reduce warranty and shop rework.
- Monitor, improve, and train staff in policies, procedures, work instructions, and documentation as necessary to ensure practical implementation and compliance to customer, company, and system requirements.
- Implement inspection plans for purchased material, contract work, work in progress, and completed repairs.
- Perform audits, independent of repair personnel, at critical points in the repair process.
- Guide management and staff in evaluating repair processes to verify process controls and conformance to specifications and procedures.
- Guide management and staff in achieving improvements that provide a competitive advantage in capability, quality, and cycle time.
- Conduct regular audits. Through management, implement corrective actions and system improvements to eliminate deficiencies identified during audits.
- Ensure quality records are kept and maintained in order to identify opportunities for improvements, make informed decisions, and to provide evidence of quality performance.
- Collect and analyze quality performance data and provide regular summaries of quality performance metrics and activities as requested by management.
Qualifications and Competencies
- A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience.
- Training and experience in quality assurance.
- Willingness and ability to handle a variety of responsibilities.
- Ability to relate well with others in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS applications or equivalent statistical software.
