About the role

The Aviation Quality Assurance Technical Inspector (UH-60) supports the US Army Flight Test Directorate (AFTD) at Redstone Arsenal, AL. Support includes completing maintenance test flights, fault isolation, and troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with Yulista Quality Management System (QMS) processes and technical data.

Responsibilities

• Implement quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
• Inspect all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health, and safety standards.
• Ensure all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed satisfactorily.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
• Communicate deficiencies to proper personnel and follow up to ensure corrections are made.
• Accurately key data into databases.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff, including interactions with other crew members.
• Perform basic mathematical computations.
• Accurately and thoroughly document results of all inspections.
• Maintain accurate quality control files.
• May be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years’ Army Aviation maintenance experience.
• Completed a military aircraft repairer school for UH-60L/K/M/V.
• At least 3 years of Army Aviation maintenance quality control experience, including graduation from BNOCC or equivalent Technical Inspector Course.
• Two years of experience related to developmental flight testing is preferred.
• Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) A&P License required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in management, production management, aviation maintenance, professional aeronautics with technical specializations, or aviation quality.
• Thorough knowledge of Army rotary wing and commercial aviation maintenance practices and regulations.
• Verifiable experience applying aircraft maintenance techniques and quality control functions to include automated TAMMS-A.
• Experience inspecting all aircraft assigned to AFTD.

• Use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Learns additional computer skills/software programs.
• Basic mathematical computations.
• Accurately documents inspection results.
• Maintains quality control files.
