Assists in the implementation of quality strategies in alignment with KFHP strategic priorities, mission, and vision. Supports team members in recommending actions based on reviews of regional quality reports, implements opportunities for improvement, and follows priorities as directed. Learns and assists with identifying and resolving quality issues while developing knowledge of clinical quality processes and regulations within a specified area.

Responsibilities

    • Partnering with practitioners to ensure compliance, improve patient safety, and enhance health outcomes.
    • Preparing materials for educational programs on regulations and system usage.
  • Supports the quality review process for complaints and reviews by:
    • Preparing materials and reports for grievance meetings, cases, and reviews.
    • Monitoring cases, incidents, and near misses according to protocols.
  • Assists with infection prevention and control programs to improve employee and patient safety by:
    • Supporting epidemiological research for prevention and outbreak management.
    • Adhering to outbreak protocols and containment efforts.
  • Supports oversight and risk management by:
    • Assisting with corrective action plans for areas identified through audits and surveys.
    • Conducting root cause analysis and other assessments for near misses.
    • Monitoring oversight effectiveness using health outcome analysis.
    • Escalating high-risk issues and trends for resolution.
  • Assists with patient safety and satisfaction programs by:
    • Reporting safety hazards, incidents, and significant events promptly.
    • Supporting delivery of patient outcomes to improve practices and care transitions.
  • Assists in developing new clinical quality improvement programs by:
    • Facilitating meetings to gather information for guidelines and metrics.
    • Developing understanding of health concepts, regulatory requirements, and change management.
    • Supporting integration of continuous learning into programs.
  • Assists in data collection and entry to improve data management by:
    • Conducting descriptive statistical analysis for quality improvement evaluations.
    • Gathering data from databases, vital statistics, and other health sources.
    • Preparing reports (e.g., infection control, utilization reviews, patient satisfaction).
  • Assists in regulatory audits and surveys by:
    • Supporting onsite visits and evaluations.
    • Preparing audit documentation and reports.
    • Communicating survey status and follow-up actions.
  • Assists in evaluating cost effectiveness, practicality, and equal application of care by:
    • Preparing materials for case reviews.
    • Gathering information for standard operating procedures and treatment plans.
    • Supporting evaluations of population health needs (e.g., community concerns, access to care).
    • Preparing reports on patient cases to identify improvement areas (e.g., length of stay, barriers to treatment).

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field AND minimum one (1) year of healthcare experience OR minimum two (2) years of experience in healthcare or a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
  • Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP) or credential(s) from the Healthcare Accreditation Certification Program(s) (HACP).

Schedule

  • Full-time, standard worker location onsite.
  • Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
  • Shift: Day (09:00 AM – 05:00 PM).
  • Workdays: Monday through Sunday.

Pay

$65,600 – $84,810 per year. Actual base pay determined at offer based on labor market data, internal alignment, and candidate’s experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
