Location: Multiple Locations (Daily Travel Required) – Middlesex, Somerset, Warren Counties, etc.

Beacon is a nationally recognized behavioral health organization providing residential-based services and supports to children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Severe Mental Illness (SMI), Autism, and individuals with high-acuity behavioral needs.

About the role

The Quality Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring our residential programs consistently meet Beacon's high standards for quality, compliance, and person-centered care. This position partners closely with group home and day program leadership to assess performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support corrective action while promoting the One Beacon philosophy across all locations. Candidates must have prior hands-on experience working in group homes, residential programs, or as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or similar. Success in this role requires firsthand knowledge of residential operations, regulatory requirements, documentation standards, and the day-to-day realities of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Support One Beacon quality initiatives across assigned programs.
  • Conduct scheduled onsite visits to assigned group homes, day programs, and supported living locations.
  • Complete unannounced evening visits to residential homes.
  • Assess, evaluate, and accurately document program performance.
  • Perform comprehensive quality and compliance audits.
  • Identify areas of risk and partner with program leadership to implement corrective actions and quality improvements.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to residential staff regarding compliance and best practices.
  • Assist with incident management, including reviewing, closing, and monitoring incidents for quality improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Quality Department leadership to address performance concerns and ensure consistent standards across all programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a group home, residential program, day program, or as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is required.
  • Direct experience in residential behavioral health or IDD services.
  • Candidates must understand residential operations, state licensing requirements, documentation standards, and person-centered supports through prior work experience.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Experience with 1044A and New Jersey licensing standards is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Professional judgment and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn multiple software systems.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Technology Requirements

Beacon utilizes Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and OneDrive, along with other internal systems. The successful candidate must be comfortable learning and using technology to support quality and compliance functions.

Travel Requirements

This position requires daily travel to assigned group homes, day programs, supported living locations, meetings, and other company functions. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and the ability to travel throughout the assigned region are required.
