Quality Analyst

About the role

The Quality Analyst – Inventory & Materials Control ensures the accuracy, quality, and traceability of materials issued from the warehouse to the manufacturing floor in a high-volume production environment. This role focuses on validating work order material requests, monitoring replenishment triggers, and confirming that materials are correctly backfilled to work centers. The position is part of a critical process improvement initiative and offers strong potential to grow into a long-term opportunity as the organization continues to enhance inventory hygiene and scalable manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Validate work order material requests to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with production requirements.
• Monitor replenishment triggers and ensure timely movement of materials from the warehouse to the manufacturing floor.
• Confirm that all materials are correctly backfilled to work centers, maintaining accurate traceability for each work order.
• Track materials using bills of materials (BOMs), including part numbers, serial numbers, and lot numbers, to support full traceability.
• Use ERP and/or warehouse management systems (WMS) to review, update, and reconcile work orders and inventory records.
• Support inventory analysis activities to identify discrepancies, improve accuracy, and enhance overall inventory hygiene.
• Apply high attention to detail and compliance-focused practices to ensure adherence to quality and logistics standards, including AS9100 guidelines where applicable.
• Collaborate closely with production, materials, and logistics teams to ensure that materials availability supports production schedules.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at developing scalable, repeatable manufacturing and materials control processes.
• Aid with or perform data analysis on large material datasets, using advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables, when needed to support better auditing and decision-making.
• Maintain clear documentation of materials movements, work order changes, and inventory adjustments to support audits and traceability requirements.

Essential Skills

• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in logistics, materials management, inventory control, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment, production floor, or warehouse setting.
• Strong proficiency with work order processes and documentation in a manufacturing context.
• Experience tracking materials using bills of materials (BOMs), including part numbers, serial numbers, and lot numbers.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and/or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all materials, logistics, and compliance activities.
• Background in logistics or materials management.
• Inventory analysis experience, including identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Ability to work with limited direct oversight and operate independently while maintaining high standards.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred, ideally within industries such as automotive, light medical manufacturing, or aerospace and defense.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• Open to candidates with 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and analysis of large material datasets, are a strong plus and indicate strong analytical aptitude.
• AS9100 experience preferred but not required.
• Exposure to automotive, light medical, or aerospace and defense manufacturing environments.
• Interest in working within a mission-oriented organization focused on scalable autonomous equipment and modern defense technology.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting with evolving processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

This role is based primarily on the warehouse and manufacturing floor, with approximately 90% of the time spent in a hands-on production environment. The position does not require travel. The shift is Monday through Friday from 3:30pm to 11:30pm. The role is closely tied to materials and production operations, and production teams work mandatory Saturdays every other Saturday, although overtime for this position is available but not mandatory. The environment emphasizes modern, scalable manufacturing processes and the use of ERP and warehouse management systems, as well as strong compliance practices aligned with standards such as AS9100. The organization offers a mission-driven culture focused on supporting critical defense technology through scalable autonomous equipment. There is also a company-wide shutdown from December 23rd to January 1st and 20 holidays throughout the year. Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $115,000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
