QE Registered Nurse Specialist/Supervisor - SEMORS - Sikeston

About the role

Southeast Missouri Residential Services (SEMORS) is a licensed and certified residential program through the Department of Mental Health and Department of Health and Senior Services. SEMORS is seeking a Quality Enhancement Registered Nurse (QERN) who is energetic and enjoys teaching best practices to promote health and wellness among the people supported and employees. The regular work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may be negotiable) with Saturday and Sunday off. Occasional coverage on other shifts may be necessary at times to meet the needs of the facility, along with infrequent travel to attend offsite meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing data and trends of specific health indicators to recommend measures for improvement.
  • Carefully coordinate clinical inquiries and Abuse/Neglect investigations.
  • Report evaluations to quality improvement manager.
  • Prepare corrective action recommendations.
  • Serve as employee healthcare nurse and maintain oversight of required staff certifications, including level one med administration, CPR/1st Aid.
  • Coordinate mortality reviews.
  • Oversee infection control.

Requirements

  • Possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri or in accordance with Missouri's Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Knowledge of current nursing theory, practices, and techniques.
  • Skills in applying practical nursing principles in the care of persons with physical or mental illness, developmental or intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and/or the geriatric population.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience working as a registered nurse.
  • Valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physical requirements of position, including frequent standing and walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
