About the role

Provide overall leadership for quality assurance (QA) strategy, planning, execution, and governance for a large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) SaaS implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage QA governance, including developing testing approaches, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Serve as the primary QA contact for program leadership, IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee and report on testing status, risks, metrics, and defects to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely tracking, prioritization, resolution, retesting, and validation of defects and issues.
  • Lead validation testing for data migration and conversion from legacy EHR and ancillary systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation of clinical and billing data.
  • Review and test ETL processes, data mapping, validation rules, and reconciliation reports.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-load and post-load data validation and exception analysis.
  • Coordinate and test interfaces, data feeds, and downstream reporting impacts.
  • Lead comprehensive functional testing across EHR modules (clinical, scheduling, orders, medications, documentation, billing).
  • Validate end-to-end EHR workflows for various user roles (clinicians, nurses, pharmacy, registration, admin staff) to ensure compliance with business, clinical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), including SaaS configuration and vendor releases.
  • Collaborate with business and clinical subject matter experts to develop and execute UAT scenarios and test cases, and support defect triage and sign-off.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and test evidence to meet audit and compliance standards.
  • Utilize test management tools (Azure DevOps, ALM, Jira) for test tracking and reporting.
  • Support both manual and automated testing methodologies as applicable.
  • Ensure all QA documentation complies with audit, regulatory, and project delivery requirements.
