QA Technician- West Side

Position Details

Location: Irving, TX | Department: Irving – 1st Shift Quality Assurance West (Direct) | Reports to: FSQA Supervisor / QA Manager | Classification: Non‑exempt | Employment Type: Full‑time

Job Summary

Essential duties & responsibilities include conducting product sampling as well as chemical, microbiological, and physical testing.

Essential Functions

• Basic comprehension of speaking, reading & writing in English.
• Write neatly and clearly on all paperwork.
• Operate a computer and maintain it.
• Understand and retain knowledge from all Brakebush Irving, Inc. training programs (specifically quality and food safety).
• Maintain and clean assigned tools.
• Complete all required paperwork and database entries accurately and promptly.
• Communicate deviations from process or specification to direct report.
• Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, percentages, multiplication, division).
• Basic understanding of quality control (acceptable vs. unacceptable).
• Place product on Hold and complete the Hold Tag process accurately and timely.
• Communicate concerns regarding production, safety, or employee relations to management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support production demands.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and teamwork skills.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment physical and drug test.
• Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift, and twist.
• Availability to work overtime as required.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Entry‑level.

Working Conditions

High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment, and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
