About the role
The QA/QC Inspector I position is part of Pall Corporation, one of Danaher’s 15+ operating companies. Located in Nottingham, MD, this role involves ensuring products meet internal and customer requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Verify melt-blown filter media, sub-assemblies, and finished cartridges meet internal specifications and customer requirements.
- Support extrusion, assembly, and finishing operations through timely inspection, testing, and nonconformance management.
- Ensure product integrity by maintaining compliance with the site Quality Management System (ISO).
- Perform final inspection of finished products in accordance with approved specifications, inspection procedures, sampling plans, and quality documentation.
- Verify finished products meet visual, functional, and performance requirements before release.
- Inspect product characteristics related to integrity, sealing, leak prevention, and overall compliance to ensure product is acceptable for shipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two (2) years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment operating under ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485.
- Experience in filtration, polymer processing, extrusion, medical device, or cartridge assembly manufacturing preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push and pull for long periods of time.
- Able to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Visual acuity of 20/25 or better (with correction).
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent.
