About the role

The QA/QC Inspector performs detailed inspections of electrical installations to ensure they meet construction documents, specifications, industry standards, and project-specific quality requirements. This role focuses on field-based quality assurance and quality control activities across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects, including data centers and other complex facilities. The QA/QC Inspector supports the full project lifecycle by reviewing installations, monitoring testing and commissioning activities, maintaining quality documentation, and promoting a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of electrical installations to verify compliance with construction documents, specifications, industry standards, and approved submittals.
  • Conduct quality audits of ongoing field work and identify deficiencies that require corrective action.
  • Review installation activities involving power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, raceways, cable tray, grounding, and related electrical infrastructure.
  • Maintain detailed inspection reports, quality documentation, test records, and system turnover packages.
  • Track and manage punch list items from identification through completion and verification.
  • Verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project-specific quality requirements for all assigned work.
  • Coordinate inspections and quality activities with project teams, subcontractors, commissioning agents, and third-party inspectors.
  • Participate in pre-installation meetings, quality planning sessions, and constructability reviews to identify and mitigate quality risks.
  • Monitor testing activities and verify that required documentation is complete and accurate prior to system turnover.
  • Assist in developing corrective action plans and quality improvement initiatives to address recurring issues or nonconformances.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and owner acceptance processes by validating test results and documentation.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement on all project sites.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of electrical construction experience with exposure to quality control, commissioning, inspections, or field supervision.
  • Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical systems, including power distribution and related infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in construction quality assurance and quality control practices in an electrical construction environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation, punch lists, and multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify deficiencies, propose solutions, and support corrective actions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience on data center, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or industrial construction projects.
  • Experience supporting projects involving medium-voltage distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and turnover documentation for electrical systems.
  • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction and project management software.
  • Relevant certifications such as NICET, OSHA, NETA, or other industry-recognized credentials.
  • Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or equivalent field experience preferred.
  • Willingness to participate in training programs to enhance technical and quality-related skills.
  • Interest in long-term career advancement within quality assurance, commissioning, or electrical construction leadership roles.

Work Environment

This role is primarily field-based and supports projects nationwide, requiring the ability to travel as business needs dictate. The QA/QC Inspector works on active construction sites and may be on-site for extended periods during major project phases. Depending on assignment duration, there may be potential relocation to project sites. The work environment includes collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, commissioning agents, and third-party inspectors. The position typically involves working around electrical equipment, power distribution systems, and other construction activities, requiring adherence to site safety practices and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, PA. This is a fully onsite position in Morrisville, PA.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
