About the Role

Conduct Quality Assurance audits of company products and services to ensure company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. Consult with management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems. Serve as an information source for employees and various company departments when special and critical quality issues occur.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm that shop and ship audit procedures are properly carried out and assigned work schedules are maintained.
  • Determine overall production product quality by conducting and evaluating various product tests.
  • Resolve major quality problems at shop production facilities and onsite locations.
  • Educate and instruct shop and ship personnel in recommended quality control testing, equipment sanitation, and general sanitation and housekeeping practices.
  • Consult with production management and personnel on better operational procedures to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Discuss production evaluation with production management, make appropriate recommendations, and set timetables for improvement and corrections.
  • Function as an information source for employees and other departments when critical quality issues arise.
  • Prepare production evaluation reports and submit them to the Manager of Quality Assurance Services.
  • Assist in the development of special department projects and work in conjunction with the Manager.
  • Train and prepare new employees for this position.
  • Perform internal audits.
  • Address non-conformities from previous internal and external audits.
  • Conduct a Management Review of the Quality System.
  • Follow up on and close pending Preventive and Corrective Action Requests.
  • Ensure that organizational systems and training are in place.
  • Ensure that documentation and design controls are appropriate for the organization.
  • Administer document control and configuration management systems.
  • Oversee the established calibration and testing program.
  • Assist the management team and provide QA support as necessary.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, combined with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments as a Quality Assurance Technician.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Quality System rules, regulations, including planning and implementation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of PC-based computing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
