About the role
The PVD/PACVD Thin-Film Process Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing thin-film deposition processes using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and Atomic Layer Chemical Vapor Deposition (A-CVD) techniques. This role involves working closely with materials scientists, device engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure process consistency and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize thin-film deposition processes using PVD and A-CVD techniques.
- Collaborate with materials scientists to select appropriate materials and process parameters.
- Perform experimental studies to validate process models and improve process control.
- Work with manufacturing teams to implement optimized processes and troubleshoot issues.
- Contribute to the development of new deposition technologies and equipment improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in thin-film deposition, preferably in semiconductor or similar industries.
- Experience with PVD and A-CVD processes is required.
- Strong understanding of material science principles and their application to thin-film deposition.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in data analysis and process modeling tools.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment.
- Experience with process control systems and automation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Proficient in PVD and A-CVD process development and optimization.
- Experience with thin-film characterization techniques such as XPS, AES, and SEM.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with process modeling and simulation tools.
