About the role

We are seeking a Pursuit Manager to join our diverse team focusing on the US Federal market, supporting both DoD and Civilian Agency Clients. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in marketing, communications, positioning on major pursuits, and proposal preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Implement our business development and pursuit process on high-profile and complex strategic opportunities.
  • Develop distinctive value propositions and win themes that clearly differentiate Stantec.
  • Collaborate with teaming partners and subconsultants to develop qualifications that will position Stantec's team for success.
  • Lead pursuit team in key pre-RFP qualifying activities, such as client, competitor, and market research.
  • Develop and implement pursuit-specific capture plans, including documenting due diligence in project briefs, developing win plans, conducting SWOT analyses, preparing executive summaries, conducting preliminary go/no-go and strategy reviews, and identifying the execution team.
  • Plan, organize, and direct all elements of the proposal, including analyzing the client request, developing a response plan, initiating follow-up go/no-go, facilitating strategy reviews, conducting kick-off meetings, managing and contributing to response sections, leading in-progress reviews, preparing red team review packages, incorporating red team input, scheduling pricing reviews, and ensuring on-time response delivery.
  • Create and modify existing materials and write content to effectively communicate services, capabilities, and market-specific messages.
  • Develop and execute pursuit strategies that align with corporate brand standards and messaging.
  • Ensure all pursuit documents comply with corporate branding guidelines and client confidentiality requirements.
  • Track and evaluate pursuit performance, including win/loss outcomes, trends, and lessons learned.
  • Lead or support post-pursuit debriefs and apply insights to improve future pursuit strategies and outcomes.
  • Monitor pursuit spending and report and address any significant variances.
  • Share promotional materials, information, knowledge, and best practices with other Pursuits and Marketing team members.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of various US Government acquisition methods and proposals, including preparation of FAR Part 15, Type C, DB MILCON, SF330, and other federal proposals.

Proven experience developing responses to detailed RFQs and RFPs, with a minimum of 8-10 years of SF330 experience required.

Exceptional prioritization skills, ability to provide critical thinking and communication skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent interviewing, written, and verbal communication skills, and strong presentation skills in small or large group environments.

Proficiency in web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Co-Pilot, and InDesign.

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
