About the role

We are seeking a Pursuit Manager to join our dynamic team focused on the US Federal market, particularly the US Navy, Marine Corps, and US Coast Guard. This role plays a crucial role in supporting the growth of our US Federal Program by developing and executing strategic pursuit processes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement our business development and pursuit process on high-profile and complex strategic opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Growth Leaders, Sectors Leaders, Account Managers, Project Managers, and Strategic Pursuit teams to develop distinctive value propositions and win themes.
  • Lead pursuit teams in key pre-RFP qualifying activities, such as client, competitor, and market research.
  • Develop and implement pursuit-specific capture plans, including SWOT analysis and preliminary go/no go and strategy reviews.
  • Manage and contribute to proposal response sections, lead in-progress reviews, and ensure on-time response delivery.
  • Create and modify existing materials to effectively communicate services, capabilities, and market-specific messages.
  • Position Stantec with clients through early involvement in the client pursuit process, including due diligence, profiles of decision-makers, competitor analysis, and project-specific win plans.
  • Ensure pursuit strategies and materials align with corporate brand standards and messaging.
  • Monitor pursuit spending and report on any significant variances.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of US Government acquisition methods and proposals, including FAR Part 15, Type C, DB MILCON, SF330, and other federal proposals.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of SF330 experience.
  • Exceptional prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop win themes and integrate them throughout proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Co-Pilot.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience with presentation support tools (e.g., PowerPoint).
  • Experience with InDesign and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience developing responses to detailed RFQs and RFPs.
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing and business development best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
