Job Duties
- Source and purchase raw materials, equipment, and services to support manufacturing operations
- Evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, and establish cost-effective purchasing agreements
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement documentation
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate material availability while minimizing excess inventory
- Create, track, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Resolve supplier delivery, pricing, and quality issues as they arise
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to understand material requirements and project needs
- Research new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities
- Support inventory control processes and internal purchasing audits
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and industry standards
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
- 2-4 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
