Purchasing Specialist

We work across a variety of industries including automotive, supercomputing, gaming, medical devices, oil and gas, and more. Additionally, we provide tailored supply chain solutions such as counterfeit testing, vendor inventory management, and sustainable hardware disposition.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with internal customers (e.g., Sales) to increase revenue and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Develop, establish, build and maintain solid vendor relationships.
• Source, negotiate prices, and expedite purchase orders (POs).
• Execute and manage POs and dispute resolutions in a timely manner.
• Develop and demonstrate working knowledge of Smith’s purchasing methodology, commodities, services, industry standards, and terminology.
• Interface with Operations and Accounting departments to ensure POs are processed seamlessly and meet the needs of the customer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience of 1-2 years in purchasing.
• General knowledge of supply chain management.
