About The Opportunity

Schedule and purchase materials to support production schedules while maximizing plant efficiencies and profitability and meeting established customer service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and control appropriate levels of inventory to support production, including cycle count program.
  • Initiate, review, and process purchase requisitions.
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Review and manage change requests from customers, plants, and suppliers; reschedule as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain all master data related to planning, such as safety stock, lead times, and lot size.
  • Support inventory management directives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (desired)
  • Entry-level position
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing (desired)
  • 2-5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment (desired)

  • Knowledge of processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle.
  • Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
  • Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations, and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of employees, environment, and site.
