Job Description

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for the timely procurement, delivery, and documentation of business materials, as well as evaluating suppliers to find the best deals possible on goods that are needed for Installation Projects.

  • Cook up logistical plans for big projects, making sure materials and equipment are ready when they're needed.
  • Find extra stuff in other branches to fill up orders, saving money and cutting waste.
  • Help spread out equipment among field teams to make sure everyone has what they need.
  • Keep track of how well we're doing with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Get bids from good suppliers for supplies and services, then analyze them to pick the best deals.
  • Handle requests for materials and write down orders for all branches, making sure everything is done right and follows company rules.
  • Work with different groups to get things done quickly and smoothly, and keep everyone informed about what's happening.
  • Look for ways to save money by comparing prices, shipping costs, and other factors when choosing what to buy.
  • Get products in a hurry, taking into account how long it takes to make them and how much money we have to spend.
  • Make sure we have enough time to get everything done before deadlines.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of purchasing experience in construction, technology, or security integration industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Organized and analytical decision-making abilities.
  • Able to handle lots of tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good follow-up skills both inside and outside the company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP by Design experience.
  • Knowledge of materials, products, and the security market in their area of expertise.
  • Strong communication skills to work well with different teams and locations.
  • Ability to manage many things at once in a busy, fast-paced environment.
