Responsibilities

  • Direct interface with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Product Management, Warehouse, Business Development Management, and suppliers
  • Ensure positive relations with key suppliers are continually enhanced
  • Research and obtain product information and relay to team as requested; refer clinical inquiries to the manufacturer
  • Assist team with problem resolution and concerns
  • Continuously improve processes and service quality for internal and external customers
  • Manage inventory levels and forecasted needs
  • Plan and procure Factors, non-blood products, vaccines, ancillaries, and packaging supplies
  • Coordinate GIB requirements, testing, and evaluation for current and future SAP system enhancements
  • Review and analyze lead times, dead stocks, days-on-hand, and slow-moving products; make recommendations
  • Maintain computer system tables, databases, and purchasing transactions accurately and timely
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with key vendors to enhance competitive advantage
  • Maintain necessary vendor documentation and update return policies
  • Assist Product Management and Pricing and Contracts teams as required
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws
  • Represent the company professionally in appearance and conduct
  • Work effectively with coworkers and customers, sharing ideas constructively and respecting diversity
  • Comply with Injury and Illness Prevention Program policies
  • Ensure conduct aligns with Compliance Program Policies and report any concerns or violations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Proven ability to prioritize work
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team
  • Sound decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of integrated computer systems and applications related to Materials Management and pricing
  • Experience in a company that distributed medical products
  • Experience in finance, marketing, or materials management
