Responsibilities

  • Process starts, pricing agreements, purchase orders, house files, and EPOs in a timely manner.
  • Research and verify invoices.
  • Assist other purchasing members with daily projects.
  • Qualify all necessary costs have been accounted for (non-standard options, lot specific costs, etc.) before processing job files.
  • Qualify purchase orders are being generated correctly.
  • Process job file change orders.
  • Process extra purchase order (EPO) requests within 24 hours.
  • Answer emails regarding issues with purchase orders, EPOs, and invoices.
  • Understand community specifics (vendors, specifications, costs, etc.) to identify inaccuracies.
  • Revise POs/EPOs due to vendor changes or price increases.
  • Aid in invoice discrepancy research.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Prefer one or more year’s purchasing experience. Prefer one or more year’s homebuilding experience.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
  • Competencies: Require attention to detail and accuracy. Intermediate skill in MSOffice Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to read and understand plans. Ability to quickly learn purchasing specific software. Maintain good relationships with vendors, construction, and sales.
