About the role
The Purchasing Coordinator processes incoming stock inventory, performs landed cost, invoice discrepancy, provides documentation to Accounts Payable, assists Accounting with auditing questions and pending credits/unpaid invoices, identifies and communicates compliance issues, issues vendor and freight claims, maintains truck schedule and ASN queue, collaborates with team members, and upholds security and confidentiality of proprietary S&S information. Essential duties include daily cycle counts, post inventory and cycle count adjustments, and managing EDI documents.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound stock shipments for assigned Mills within 24 hours.
- Perform landed cost.
- Invoice discrepancy.
- Provide documentation to Accounts Payable.
- Auxiliary Accounting with Auditing questions and pending credits/unpaid invoices.
- Identify and Communicate compliance issues with Vendor, Demand Planner and Purchasing Supervisor.
- Issue Vendor and Freight Claims.
- Daily Cycle Counts.
- Post inventory and cycle count adjustments.
- Maintain Truck Schedule and ASN queue.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to leadership.
- Uphold security and confidentiality of proprietary S&S information.
Requirements
- Highschool Diploma or Associates Degree, preferred.
- 1+ Year related experience to Inventory to Accounting, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
- Advanced analytical skills with demonstrated success organizing, analyzing, and accurately interpreting large amounts of data.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and facilitate consensus among cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge including Pivot Tables, Vlookups, and other relevant data analysis methods.
- Extensive attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a group.
