About the role

The Purchasing Coordinator processes incoming stock inventory, performs landed cost, invoice discrepancy, provides documentation to Accounts Payable, assists Accounting with auditing questions and pending credits/unpaid invoices, identifies and communicates compliance issues, issues vendor and freight claims, maintains truck schedule and ASN queue, collaborates with team members, and upholds security and confidentiality of proprietary S&S information. Essential duties include daily cycle counts, post inventory and cycle count adjustments, and managing EDI documents.

Responsibilities

  • Process inbound stock shipments for assigned Mills within 24 hours.
  • Perform landed cost.
  • Invoice discrepancy.
  • Provide documentation to Accounts Payable.
  • Auxiliary Accounting with Auditing questions and pending credits/unpaid invoices.
  • Identify and Communicate compliance issues with Vendor, Demand Planner and Purchasing Supervisor.
  • Issue Vendor and Freight Claims.
  • Daily Cycle Counts.
  • Post inventory and cycle count adjustments.
  • Maintain Truck Schedule and ASN queue.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to leadership.
  • Uphold security and confidentiality of proprietary S&S information.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or Associates Degree, preferred.
  • 1+ Year related experience to Inventory to Accounting, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
  • Advanced analytical skills with demonstrated success organizing, analyzing, and accurately interpreting large amounts of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and facilitate consensus among cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge including Pivot Tables, Vlookups, and other relevant data analysis methods.
  • Extensive attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or within a group.

  • Physical Demands: Regularly talk or hear.
  • Working Environment: Professional office environment, uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
