We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience to support day-to-day procurement operations.

About the role

In this role, you create and process purchase orders, maintain accurate purchasing data, coordinate with vendors, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient purchasing activities. You use strong Excel skills, organization, and attention to detail to keep documentation accurate and up to date while supporting logistics and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Create, process, and track purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Enter and maintain purchasing data in company systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Update vendor, pricing, and inventory information to ensure records remain current.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage data, generate reports, and maintain purchasing records.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve purchasing and order-related issues.
  • Ensure all purchasing documentation is complete, accurate, and properly organized.
  • Support general procurement activities, including coordinating orders and deliveries.
  • Assist with logistics tasks related to inventory and material flow as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the purchasing and supply chain team.
  • Deliver responsive and professional customer service to internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment to improve purchasing processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience creating and processing purchase orders and managing order entry.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry, data management, and report creation.
  • Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail when working with purchasing information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing deadlines, and stay organized.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal departments.
  • Solid problem-solving skills to identify and resolve purchasing and vendor issues.
  • Experience with vendor management and maintaining vendor records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and related tools.
  • Ability to work one Saturday per month, as required by the role.

Skills

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing, purchasing, or buyer roles is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting inventory management and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Customer service experience in a business or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices within purchasing or supply chain.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Interest in career growth and internal advancement within a stable, growing organization.

This role is based in a cubicle workspace within a manufacturing setting that supports world-class automotive customers. Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Schedule

The schedule includes availability to work one Saturday per month, with work performed on-site in the manufacturing office area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, KY, and is a fully onsite role.
