Job Responsibilities

  • Receives, stores, and issues property and supplies.
  • Cheks purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
  • Covers physical inventories.
  • Purchases equipment, services, and supplies from established vendors.
  • Engages in receiving, storing, and shipping all types of materials and supplies.
  • Maintains inventory control and maintains inventory control records.
  • Processes field purchase orders.
  • Reviews and audits warehouse records and reports.
  • Screens, receives, stores, inventories, and distributes surplus property.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of job-related experience in inventory, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Or 1 year of experience at the lower level Purchasing Agent I (FET040) or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Use of Microsoft O365 platforms with experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Communicates verbally and in writing.
  • Involves moderate to heavy physical activity.
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles and procurement procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, staff, and management.
