Job Responsibilities
- Receives, stores, and issues property and supplies.
- Cheks purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
- Covers physical inventories.
- Purchases equipment, services, and supplies from established vendors.
- Engages in receiving, storing, and shipping all types of materials and supplies.
- Maintains inventory control and maintains inventory control records.
- Processes field purchase orders.
- Reviews and audits warehouse records and reports.
- Screens, receives, stores, inventories, and distributes surplus property.
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of job-related experience in inventory, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Or 1 year of experience at the lower level Purchasing Agent I (FET040) or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Use of Microsoft O365 platforms with experience in Microsoft Excel.
- Communicates verbally and in writing.
- Involves moderate to heavy physical activity.
- Knowledge of purchasing principles and procurement procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, staff, and management.
