Purchasing Analyst

About the role

Blevins, Inc., a financially strong, privately owned wholesaler of building supplies, is seeking an experienced Analyst to join the Purchasing Team in Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and improving supply chain operations.
• Create and fully utilize KPI's to measure supplier performance geared to drive supplier performance.
• Apply KPI's to identify underperforming inventory. Initiate action to reduce inventory & generate cost savings.
• Aid in resolving day-to-day supply chain issues and promote operational consistency.
• Analyze economic order quantities to support inventory investment to maximize ROI.
• Produce data to aid with negotiating improved contracts with existing suppliers.
• Create and provide forecast plans to Blevins top suppliers monthly.
• Track supplier rebate programs and assist in driving maximum utilization.
• Strong cross-departmental collaboration skills.
• Special projects as directed by VP of Purchasing.

Requirements

• A degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions and present solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Excellent follow up.
• Prior experience with project management, supply chain management or procurement.
