PURCHASING ANALYST

Job Duties
- Responsible for and assist in writing complex technical specifications, performance requirements and evaluation methodologies used in the formal and informal solicitation processes; administer the posting of formal competitive solicitations, single sources and other notices; prepare for, facilitate, and attend public meetings, and review responses for acceptability.
- Communicate and consult with various Department personnel regarding needs for materials, supplies, and required delivery schedules and serves as the Procurement Officer for assigned solicitations.
- Represent the Central Procurement Office in resolution of problems; determine recourse where possible; prepare correspondence to begin the resolution process; seek legal counsel as needed and compile information from various sources, prepare and ensure that required reports are submitted as required.
- Serves as records custodian for purchasing records and maintains files for competitive solicitation and other projects as required for auditing purposes; provide auditors with purchasing information as needed.
- Represent the Central Procurement Office at various functions including statewide meetings, legislative matters and/or tradeshows.
Requirements
- Must possess high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must have four (4) years of professional purchasing and sourcing experience
- Postsecondary education may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience.
Prior Government Procurement Experience
- Prior government procurement experience specializing in Chapter 255, Florida Statutes
- Experience using MyFloridaMarketPlace's Analysis Tool
