Position Purpose
PSA will assist in maximizing the learning experience of children with special needs during their participation with Middle School Tennis.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist lead staff in providing behavior reinforcement and managing student's needs while at tennis practice and matches
- Assist and support interpersonal skills and activities, daily living needs and social/emotional needs for student
- Able to be flexible with schedules
- Supervising and assisting student during arrival/departure from tennis practices and matches
Qualifications
- Must meet one of the following requirements:
- At least two years of qualifying college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota) through an accredited institution of higher education, or;
- An associates or higher degree, with qualifying course work, or;
- A passing score on a valid and reliable formal assessment.
- Able to follow program direction as provided by program coordinator.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight and support students with activities of daily living.
- Able to demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
Compensation/Benefits
- Starting Rate of Pay: $19.40 per hour if non-contracted (less than 11 hours per week)
