About the Role
The Pump Test Technician I assembles, maintains, evaluates, and installs reciprocating plunger pumps to prepare for testing.

Responsibilities
- Connects units to test equipment
- Assembles and disassembles pump components
- Analyzes blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and drawings to determine fabrication specifications
- Assemble product per work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints, Risk Assessment, and job routers
- Verifies conformance to specifications
- Maintains routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be trained and qualified in Autofrettage
- A current Fort Worth HQ SPM employee in Building A
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
- Noise Level: Moderate
Pay
Pay will start at $21.90/hour and can be adjusted based on experience. Summary pay range: $21.90 - $29.30.
Schedule
Monday through Thursday (4 x 10-hour shifts), 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with opportunity for overtime as business demands.
