About the role

The Lee Health Heart Institute is seeking an Advanced Provider to assist with the growth and development of our Pulmonary Hypertension Program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the evaluation, treatment, and longitudinal management of patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), and other forms of pulmonary hypertension.
  • Manage advanced pulmonary hypertension therapies, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and educate patients and caregivers on parenteral prostacyclin therapy.
  • Collaborate with and under the leadership of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program Director to provide care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Support weekend coverage and call responsibilities based on program needs.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Florida license, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Experience managing patients with pulmonary hypertension is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong communication, patient education, and care coordination skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
  • Specialty certification relevant to cardiology, pulmonology, or pulmonary hypertension is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care pathway preferred) or Physician Assistant.
  • Active, unrestricted Florida license, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
