Responsibilities
- Initiates and completes detailed patient assessment including diagnoses the actual or potential health problem or need, based upon an analysis of the data collected, and plans therapeutic intervention.
- Orders and initiates appropriate laboratory tests, radiological examinations, other routine diagnostic procedures, medication, treatment, and consultation based upon an analysis of the data collected.
- Educates the patient regarding prescribed treatment and medication(s).
- Maintains timely documentation of the patient's medical record under the direction of the physician responsible.
- Outreach clinic responsibilities based on program/clinic needs.
- On-call responsibilities based on program/clinic specific needs.
- Regulatory compliance based on specific program/clinic requirements. This includes Quality & Multidisciplinary Team engagement. On-going competencies for equipment and procedures based on program/clinic specific needs.
- Reports to the supervising Manager/Director. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements.
Qualifications
- Requires a degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program or accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Nurse Practitioner must have acute care adult/gerontology certification.
- Current Acute Care certification required.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or APRN in the state of Oklahoma.
- Requires current BLS certification.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- If the position requires occasional travel, the incumbents must be able to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non- INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Driver's License from the state of residence, as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
