Responsibilities

  • Initiates and completes detailed patient assessment including diagnoses the actual or potential health problem or need, based upon an analysis of the data collected, and plans therapeutic intervention.
  • Orders and initiates appropriate laboratory tests, radiological examinations, other routine diagnostic procedures, medication, treatment, and consultation based upon an analysis of the data collected.
  • Educates the patient regarding prescribed treatment and medication(s).
  • Maintains timely documentation of the patient's medical record under the direction of the physician responsible.
  • Outreach clinic responsibilities based on program/clinic needs.
  • On-call responsibilities based on program/clinic specific needs.
  • Regulatory compliance based on specific program/clinic requirements. This includes Quality & Multidisciplinary Team engagement. On-going competencies for equipment and procedures based on program/clinic specific needs.
  • Reports to the supervising Manager/Director. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements.

Qualifications

  • Requires a degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program or accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Nurse Practitioner must have acute care adult/gerontology certification.
  • Current Acute Care certification required.
  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant or APRN in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Requires current BLS certification.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • If the position requires occasional travel, the incumbents must be able to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non- INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Driver's License from the state of residence, as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
