Pulmonary Function Therapist (Full Time, Days)

Responsibilities

• Maintains and calibrates all testing equipment in the laboratory.
• Works with UMCP physicians in performing the prescribed tests for each patient.
• Adheres to all regulatory standards, including JCAHO, Department of Health, and CAP.
• Ensures quality care to our customers.
• Assumes all patient/customer pulmonary function laboratory responsibilities.
• Performs all age-specific testing in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory.
• Understands and follows the organization’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities.
• Knowledge of Performance Indicators and ensures exceeding results.
• Other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (Required)
• Respiratory Therapist (Required)
• Licensed in the State of New Jersey.
• Must become CPFT or RPFT within the first year of taking the position.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
• 3+ years Experience in Pulmonary Function testing.
• Ability to assist RT's on floors when determined by Manager.
