About the role
The Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) seeks a Legal Administrative Assistant to support the Legal Division Director and Managing Attorneys. The ideal candidate will provide advanced administrative support, including coordinating PIA requests, travel, purchasing, onboarding, meetings, records management, and other administrative operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Public Information Act (PIA) requests
- Provide administrative support for travel, purchasing, and onboarding
- Manage meeting coordination and records management
- Support legal operations with legal calendaring, secretarial functions, and receptionist duties
- Offer backup support for legal operations
Requirements
- High School (HS) Diploma or GED equivalent
- Five years of paid full-time experience providing advanced administrative support in a high-volume, fast-paced legal, governmental, or professional office environment
- Preferred qualifications include experience with travel authorizations, PIA requests, and coordinating calendars and meetings

Pay
Starting salary will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience within the advertised salary range.
Schedule
The PUCT operates on a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employees may request an alternative work schedule in accordance with the PUCT's Alternative Work Schedule Policy.
