About the role
The Public Works Department seeks a skilled and dedicated Public Works Technician I (Water) to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and improving water infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair water distribution systems
- Respond to customer inquiries and service requests
- Perform routine inspections and tests on water facilities
- Operate and maintain various water treatment and distribution equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Utah driver’s license
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Experience in water utility maintenance preferred
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills
- Physical ability to perform manual labor
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of water treatment processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
