Public Works Technician I

About the role

This position is primarily responsible for performing manual tasks related to the maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, drainage facilities, and grounds. The employee works daily under direct supervision and must make reasonable judgments and decisions when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, drainage facilities, and grounds
• Solid waste handling
• Seasonal work such as winter operations
• Emergency response
• Support for construction projects

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Successful completion of a criminal history background check, drug screen, and functional employment screen
