Public Works Street Operator / Utility Locator

Primary Duties

• Utility locates in the spring, summer and fall
• Paperwork associated with utility locates
• Public right of way maintenance including winter snow removal operations, street maintenance, sidewalk/boardwalk maintenance
• Additional duties include backup operations for water and sewer as necessary

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent
• A Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one
• 2 years experience in a maintenance position utilizing light or heavy-duty equipment or construction activities

Pay and Schedule

• Hiring range: $30 - $33/hr or $62,025 - $68,640 annually DOQ
• This position is included in the federally mandated DOT-FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
