About the role
The Public Works Maintenance Tech I position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to keep city facilities in good working order.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city buildings, parks, and other public facilities.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on city vehicles and equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform immediate repairs as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Texas driver’s license.
- Experience in maintenance and/or construction preferred.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of city facilities and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently and follow safety guidelines.
Skills
- Basic computer skills.
- First aid/CPR certification preferred.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
