Maintenance Tech I

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance on equipment, both electrical and mechanical
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines in accordance with schedule
• Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and requirements
• Reviews daily maintenance schedule to ensure all jobs are complete in a timely manner, with minimal interference with production
• Provide assistance and support for emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• Performs scheduled maintenance of production equipment during machine service
• Maintain good housekeeping in all areas
• Handle company equipment with care
• Responds quickly to inquiries and follows up as needed
• Is available to work overtime when required, including weekends
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Production Support Manager

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience
• Excellent verbal, written and listening skills and have the ability to provide written and verbal instructions and present information clearly
• Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, technical documents, and troubleshooting guides
• Able to adapt to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
• Able to work independently and within a team environment
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Exhibits professionalism when communicating with superiors and subordinates
• Able to pay attention to detail
