Public Staff Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Public Staff Tax Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity to support our growing public accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to transition into a long-term role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns.
• Handle general tax preparation tasks.
• Work with client financial data using CCH ProSystem, CCH Pro, Intuit, and QuickBooks.
• Manage multiple returns during busy periods.

Requirements

• Experience preparing individual tax returns in a public accounting or tax-focused environment.
• Background handling corporate tax returns and related tax compliance activities.
• Working knowledge of general tax preparation processes and supporting documentation requirements.
• Hands-on experience with CCH ProSystem or CCH ProSystem Fx.
• Familiarity with Intuit products and QuickBooks for reviewing and organizing financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities during busy tax seasons.
