About the Role

The Public Sector Client Executive is responsible for selling all products and services in the C1 portfolio. This role focuses on meeting assigned sales targets while identifying growth opportunities with existing clients and new prospects. The ideal candidate will be located in Indiana or Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales consultation, design, support, and management of client activity involving collaboration, enterprise networking, data solutions, and security products/services within a designated region.
  • Establish, maintain, and develop business relationships with clients and prospects to drive profitability and growth.
  • Analyze client and competitive landscapes, identify business issues, and develop strategies to achieve sales objectives.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and active reporting in accordance with C1’s standards.
  • Develop and execute a Business Plan aligned with short- and long-range company objectives and targets.
  • Conduct C-level business discussions and consult innovatively to offer client solutions with technical acumen.
  • Develop and maintain technical competency in all C1 products, including solutions from represented manufacturers and professional services.
  • Build relationships with existing and potential clients to drive business growth and meet assigned targets.
  • Expedite resolution of client escalations and complaints.
  • Stay informed on industry changes, participate in relevant organizations, and continually refine sales techniques.
  • Foster strong working relationships with sales support, marketing, services, and purchasing teams to achieve targets.
  • Engage in end-to-end sales cycles, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Sell solutions aligned with assigned targets, acting as a disruptor to introduce innovative solutions to clients.
  • Identify client needs and serve as a vertical expert (e.g., Public Sector, Healthcare).
  • Address key pain points within the client base and overcome objections.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct selling experience in communications and data technology.
  • 4-year college degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with K-12, higher education, state, and local government sectors.
  • Ability to navigate public sector contracts and work directly with C-level executives in mid-to-large enterprises.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and communication skills.
  • Proven sales ability and technical aptitude.
  • Track record of territory development, including new business accounts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and sales forecasting tools.
  • Existing client relationships and contacts to bring to C1.
  • Experience with solution selling, particularly Cloud solutions, managed services, and professional services.
  • Recognition as a top producer (e.g., President’s Club) in prior roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or prior experience with a solutions provider similar to C1.

Pay

Estimated base pay range: $95,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, and relevant skills. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are available in addition to base pay.
