About the role

The Public School Clinician at Lewiston Elementary Schools is responsible for providing therapeutic services to students in need. This role requires a strong commitment to student success and a willingness to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students based on identified needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Assess student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Licensed or license eligible in the state of Maine.
  • Experience working with children and families in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health and education.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
