Public Safety Officer Trainee-Gretna limbo/7p-7a

Responsibilities

• Maintains surveillance of visitors and conducts interviews of unauthorized persons.
• Completes accurate and legible Officer Incident Reports and monitors video footage and security systems.
• Responds to "Code" calls and enforces parking rules.
• Restrains patients as directed by hospital policy.
• Prepares helipads for aircraft and handles notary public services.
• Monitors parking lot, logs in/out individuals, and releases bodies from morgues and funeral homes.
• Communicates via radio and pages, and supports weapons screening operations.
• Identifies and responds to alarms, conducts secondary screenings, and ensures professional interactions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Sergeant and Public Safety leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License
• On-the-job training provided as a condition of employment
• Ability to comply with federal, state, and local firearm regulations
