Public Safety Officer Trainee-FT/LGH

Responsibilities

• Maintains surveillance of visitors and conducts interviews of unauthorized persons.
• Completes accurate and legible Officer Incident Reports and monitors video footage and security systems.
• Responds to "Code" calls and enforces parking rules.
• Restraints patients as necessary and prepares helipads for aircraft.
• Provides notary services and handles body releases.
• Communicates via radio and pages, supports weapons screening, and performs secondary screenings.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Valid driver’s license
• On-the-job training provided
• Ability to comply with firearm and substance use regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior training and experience in security, public safety, and emergency preparedness
• IAHSS Basic certification
