Public Programs Internship
The Public Programs Department is seeking an intern to join a professional, collaborative, and fast-paced work environment. The intern will assist with all aspects of public programming for adult audiences, including program research, planning, communications, event logistics, and administrative support. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in museum programming and learn about the development and execution of public-facing historical and cultural programs.
Responsibilities
- Conducting research for upcoming events
- Assisting with preparing event materials
- Assisting with event set-up and check-in
- Ticket processing and customer service
- Community engagement and promotional outreach
Requirements
- Applicants should be undergraduate or graduate students, though recent graduates may also apply
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to projects
- Must be available to work one or more evenings per week
Schedule
- Hours during the week are flexible
- Term: October 5–December 11, 2026
- Up to 120 hours total
Pay
$17 per hour
