Public Media Account Executive (sales)
About the role
Sell multi-platform advertising, sponsorship, and marketing solutions for northern Illinois’ public radio stations, reaching the Rockford market and beyond. This consultative B2B sales role focuses on growing revenue, developing new business, and building long-term client sponsors for broadcast, digital, podcasts, and live events. This is a relationship-driven, community-facing outside sales role requiring regular in-person meetings with prospects and clients throughout the region.
Responsibilities
- Possess strong prospecting, presentation, and closing skills
- Create customized underwriting and sponsorship packages that align with client marketing goals
- Represent the stations at networking events, community functions, and station events
- Support broader fundraising and partnership efforts as needed
- Meet revenue goals and build long-term partnerships
Requirements
Sales experience in advertising or sponsorships preferred with a track record of hitting goals. A relationship-driven, results-focused mindset is essential.
