What you will be doing
As a Public Health Nurse 2 within the Section of Epidemiology (EPI), you will play a key role in protecting the health of Alaskans through tuberculosis (TB) prevention, investigation, and treatment support. Based primarily in the Public Health Center, you will apply your public health nursing knowledge to support individuals with TB infection and disease, including helping ensure treatment completion. This position may also include travel to communities across Alaska to provide direct nursing services, education, and consultation in support of the Division’s statewide public health mission.

Special Notice
This position requires frequent travel (1 to 3 times a month) to remote areas of Alaska via small aircraft. A valid Driver's License is required at the time of appointment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska;
- AND
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university or Direct Entry Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
