About the role
The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys in the Public Finance practice group and have opportunities for direct contact with clients. The position requires an in-office presence but includes flexibility for some remote work.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and updating closing checklists
- Drafting, reviewing and proofreading ancillary documents for various transactions
- Obtaining and organizing signature pages, preparing execution versions and closing sets, and coordinating the closing of transactions
- Communicating with attorneys, clients, and third parties regarding active transactions to resolve issues and keep matters on track
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least five years of transactional experience and ability to bill at least 1,500 hours per year
- Demonstrated ability to use Word, Excel, document management and redlining applications and time keeping programs
- Commitment to client service and the ability to work independently and manage multiple fast-paced matters under deadline pressure
- Attention to detail and timelines and ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills required in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff
- Ability to understand and utilize computer equipment, software and search tools in order to locate information, set up databases and spreadsheets and work with form documents and other applications
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Committed to following all Firm security protocols and maintaining information security

- Excellent document production skills (typing, spelling, grammar and punctuation)
- Strong time management skills
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, research and writing skills
- Ability to project professional presence and demonstrate flexibility in work assignments
Pay & Benefits
Expected salary range: $75,000 - $120,000.
