Public Entity Financial Services Sales

About the role

HilltopSecurities is seeking a Public Entity Finance Services Sales Representative for its Public Finance team in Orlando, Florida. This position involves selling the firm’s suite of Asset Management products and other services to government entities.

Responsibilities

• Sells products through personal visits, phone calls, and presentations or attendance at client meetings.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients to retain and grow their business.
• Represent the department at participant organization conferences by staffing exhibit booths and attending other events.
• Travel to meet with prospective and existing participants, with at least 50% of time spent traveling.
• Prepare weekly status reports for the Department Manager.
• File personal expense reports.
• Perform other functions as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a specific sales territory with travel involved.
• FINRA License Series 7, 66, and 52 REQUIRED for the role. Candidate must obtain the third license within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated success in financial services/products sales.
• Experience in working a specific sales territory with travel involved.
• Knowledge and sales experience in banking, financial services, or fixed income investments is strongly desired.
• Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and able to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Strong communications skills, both oral (including presenting to groups) and written.
• Effective interpersonal skills and organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Salesforce is a plus but not required.

About The Team

With 75 years in the financial industry, HilltopSecurities’ Public Finance department ranks second in municipal advisories in the country. Our team of over 200 professionals handles over 1,100 financings annually. As part of our Public Finance department, you will support public entities' financing efforts across various sectors including toll roads, airports, hotels, higher education, health care, and more, as well as public-private partnerships. You will be responsible for analyzing and structuring deals for clients across all sectors, using industry-specific software packages for comprehensive financial analysis and detailed presentations.
