Public Areas Attendant (Part Time)

About the role

We are looking for individuals who can provide authentic and memorable experiences that deliver the Southern California Dream to our guests. The Public Area Attendant supports our housekeeping team by maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel’s public areas, including bathrooms, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, hallways, exterior windows, sidewalks, and fitness centers. This fast-paced position involves constant customer interaction, significant walking, and the ability to lift, push, and carry moderate weight, as well as exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Removing trash and disposing in dumpsters
• Breaking down boxes and disposing in appropriate area
• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
• Cleaning mirrors, counters, walls, knobs, railings, etc.
• Dusting
• Removing, transporting, and replacing soiled linen
• Cleaning up spills
• Cleaning all areas of bathrooms: toilet, floors, bins, etc., and restocking items as needed
• Restocking items: toilet paper, tissue paper, etc.

Requirements

• Prior housekeeping experience is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication skills in English (verbal, written, and electronic)
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, and carry out directions and instructions
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently and make sound, responsible decisions
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team as needed
• Ability to walk and stand at least 95% of the shift
• Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, and carry
• Ability to use hands for grasping, holding, and manual activities
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and agents
• Ability to visually assess areas and confirm cleanliness
• Ability to follow the company’s Uniform & Style Grooming standards

Pay

$21.26 per hour
