About the role

Work effectively as part of the housekeeping service team to provide efficient and courteous service. Primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive hotel lobby, restaurants, guest corridors, and office areas while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service.

  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms, corridors, and restrooms according to standards.
  • Clean and maintain restaurants, hotel lobby and reception areas, as well as offices and back of house areas.
  • Vacuum cleaning and dusting hotel lobby, reception, restaurants, polish furniture and fixtures, empty ashtrays to ensure that they are spotless for guest occupancy.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to guest supplies and cleaning supplies.
  • Remove all trash from bins situated in public areas, including back of house areas.
  • Keep all hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
  • Perform daily allocated tasks in all areas of the hotel (front of house and back of house).
  • Ensure the equipment and facilities are functioning properly and report any malfunction according to standards. Keep the equipment clean and in good working order.
  • Follow proper Lost & Found procedures to ensure lost items are immediately reported when found.
  • Report any maintenance issues to Housekeeping supervisor/Manager immediately.
  • Responsible for deep cleaning the restaurants, hotel lobby and reception area, toilets, guest lifts, staff toilets and locker rooms, and guest corridors.
  • Responsible for maintaining a time schedule for cleaning of assigned areas.
  • Responsible for spring cleaning of assigned areas as per the schedule.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the leadership team.
  • Consistently conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times and work professionally with colleagues and team leaders with a team-minded approach.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings to learn shift details, including property and guest expectations. Participate and attend all required meetings.
  • Anticipate and understand guests’ service needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Greet, welcome, and acknowledge all guests by name and respond to their requests in a courteous and professional manner always using professional language.
  • Remain attentive to the needs of all guests, providing them with dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic service.
  • Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to all internal and external guests. Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize performance and create value by challenging existing processes, encouraging innovation, and driving necessary change.
  • Be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercise good judgement, and ensure resolutions are thoughtful and guest-focused. Immediate follow-up with a leader is expected.
  • Establish and maintain open, positive, collaborative, and professional internal and external relationships. Develop lasting relationships with guests to secure repeat business.
  • Foster and promote a cooperative working environment, maximizing efficiency and delivering the ultimate guest experience.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and guest information.

Requirements

  • Passionate about cleanliness, enjoys physical work, and has previous similar work experience.
  • A team player, hard worker, and detail-oriented.
  • Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.

$26.50 per hour
