About the role
Torch Technologies is seeking a Public Affairs Specialist to support the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, OH.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of strategic programs, including strategic communications, public affairs, outreach, and event planning.
- Manage communications content, coordinate high-visibility events, and strengthen stakeholder engagement across government, industry, academia, and international partners.
- Manage message content to ensure consistency across the division.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute special events (e.g., ceremonies, official visits), ensuring all required activities are completed and aligned with the government lead and stakeholders.
- Coordinate community and stakeholder relations and lead execution of the division’s strategic community outreach plan to stakeholders, including industry, Congress, academia, and international organizations.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience with at least 3 years working in the DoD.
- Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance with current SCI eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in DoD public affairs, protocol, and event management.
- Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to produce press releases, news articles, and speeches across multiple media.
- Knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems.
